Aunt of the Year

Oh how I love being Aunt Whitney! The top pic is my sweet, dramatic, girly-girl, neice Julia ( we call her Ju-Ju). She enjoys eating, Dora the Explorer, and Groovy Girl dolls, and flip flops.

The bottom pic is my smart, athletic, energy filled, neice Avery (Av). She enjoys double back handsprings, Webkins, animals, Hannah Montanah, and making Aunt Whitney beaded necklaces and gorgeous pictures. She especially loves slumber parties with Aunt Whitney and Jordan. I'm definately blessed to be the Aunt of two of the most precious girls in the world!

Ok, my first "heres your sign Friday!" pretty much explains itself!

Lots of goodies today! All of this came from an "indoor" garage sale. The owner of all my great finds is recently deceased, and they left the house EXACTLY how it was left. It was like walking in your neighbors house, and just taking whatever you wanted out of their cupboards and drawers. I think I did pretty good for $18!!

Ok, I was recently searching through blogs (about two minutes ago) and I stumbled upon a "vintage" blog, that had thousands, and thousands (like a million) of these super creepy doll heads and bodys! I hated it so much, I had to blog about it .When it comes to my vintage, I very rarely find anything I dont like, but this is one. Maybe I'm just hyped up on coke and chocolate, and overly opinionated ( It just happens to be my time of the month), but OMG, I hate it!

ta da! The new member of my crazy home! My vintage pink velvet chair! I found this at a yard sale, for 15 or 20 dollars. It is my new Favorite piece! The door is a treasure my grandma found at an antique store (for a hefty price), but she loved it! It is still waiting to be hung! Another great weekend off! I cant wait for the 4th of July sales!

Well, I dont seem to hunt yard sales anymore, THEY HUNT ME! On my way to get a cup of coffee with my bf we found another huge church sale! All this for................$4! The pitcher is stamped made in japan, and the little white serving trey is stamped nj 1809-1846? Dunno but sooo cute!

This is the first set of pics from some Fab-u-lousss yard sale'n I did last week in Chick. I picked up both of these from a "church" sale. I spotted the lamp from my car, jumped out, grabbed it, and then found this sweet little picture of ballerinas.

Runnn For the Hills Yall!!! Its a 'nader comin'! Translated- find the lowest point, cover your ass, grab your dog(forget your husband!), TORNADO COMING! Yeah, one of those Oklahoma days! Winds from 75 mph, rain, blah blah! Oh well, maybe that cute vintage patio set from the people next door will blow my way!!!!!

Well, I had a great day! On my way to the bank this morning, I found a little elderly couple having a yard sale! They had so so much still in boxes! I bought about 10 pages and books of vintage sheet music for $1 ! All of this cost me $3! Loooove it!

On my trip to g'mas today we went shopping for gardening things at
white-mart . (garden soil, radish seeds, make-up, cocoa outfits)
Anyways, my g'ma LOVES to dress my dog! She calls it cute,
My g'pa says "It aint right". She said "Cocoa's wardrobe
simply isn't complete without this." G'pa gave in!

What a day! I drove to Chick to visit my oh so fab g-ma today,

and while I was cleaning her kitchen i noticed this little jewel, all covered in

dust and dirt, hidden away in the laundry room. She had forgotten where it

came from, or why she had it, but agreed it had my name written all over it.

She also remembered how terrible she is at baking layered cakes, and

insisted that Sams club would be baking our holiday sweets from now on!

Gotta love my g'ma!!!!!

Arbuckle again! This little camel (donkey, whatever?) is so close to
to my heart, we totally had a moment! (then I ran out of food)

So this is Arbuckle Wilderness! Its a wildlife park that you pay to drive
in, and you buy these little cups of food, and roll your windows down
(pretty redneck already, huh?) and as you drive through all these
animals come eat from your hand! Well, this little creature freaked me
out, and he got mad, and dented the side of my car! Next time, we are
taking Jordans car!

Me and Jordan took a road trip to visit our friend Matt in Dallas, TX,

and on our way home we stopped in Turner Falls, OK! My grandparents

always said they would take me, but we never got a chance. Its

amazing! One of my Okie Favs!

Ok, pretty gross! Hes an oil man now! Jordan smashed his face on something, I

dont know what! OUCH!

I love my petunias!

Whitney loves; everything pink, her hubby, her baby Cocoa, sleeping in, ooey gooey butterbars, grandma and grandpa, finding good junk, tanning beds, fabulous people, the smell of lilacs, costume jewelry, working in my flowerbeds, good movies, shaking my toosh, margaritas, shit-chat with my girls, just being me!
